Viruses

What I know:
 I know that a computer virus enter your computer because of the use of downloads and internet. This viruses can delete data form your computer, and cancel some of the functions of your computer.

What I wonder:

  • How do viruses work?
  • How to avoid viruses ?
  • Is it true that Mac's can't have viruses?
  • What to do if you have a computer virus? 
  • What are some viruses?

  • Computer viruses are often spread by emails, softwares, and other attachments 
  • A worm is: this is a form of virus that spread within emails, then this "worm" takes information such as email addresses, and send other "infected" emails to your contacts. 
  • A trojan horse is:  this virus hides inside real programs, then it enters a code inside the computer and lets hackers enter the information in the computer.
  • A spyware: a virus that enters the computer and gets access to your personal information. It uses this information and can also change your actions in your own computer.

With the GPA of the colleges I found, I know I have an opportunity. Maybe not in the best or my dream colleges like Brown, Yale, Harvard, Stanford or Columbia. But if I work hard enough I can reach other great colleges.

I found many colleges that may interest me, and help my needs. But I also learned that I have to work harder on my low classes so my GPA goes up. If my GPA goes up I have more opportunities. Also the costs and locations of this universities, this helps to make up  my mind about things.

Goal 1: we will film with Isabel's camera.

Goal 2: we will download songs from this website: http://www.video2mp3.net/ which converts the videos of YouTube to an audio file. 

Goal 3: we will use the program Camtasia, a program downloaded on the computer that will helps us to create the video and edit it. 

Isabel and me went out to film our special effects for the video. we took several shots and now we will put them together in a movie.

Digital Nation


  • I agree that teenagers don't use technology in a safe way, and are in front of many risks by looking at inappropriate  things.
  • I also agree that technology make people distant from their family and friends.
  • I agree that now technology is everyone's life, I agree that people are now dependent of technology, there is not a time in which people are away of any source of technology.
  • I also agree that people now cant do a lot of things because they are worried about their social life in the technology, also they think they can multitask, maybe they can but they are not having the full concentration on classes or in the real life, not in their phones or computers. 
  • I agree that people m, multitask and based on the video, there is not a possible way that people may multitask successfully. They could try but they wouldn't succeed fully in any of the tasks.
  • They say its true that a multitasking is slower even though people think they are great at it. 
  • I also agree that its consuming people, it is just a perfect way of distractions. 
  • Kids are spending 50 hours on internet, the great question is what is going to happen to their brains? it cant be healthy for kids. 
  • I agree that technology will eventually change the way the brain develops and works 
  • Also how people think that technology is making us more intelligent and better at things like working, but in real life it is making us slower, and stupid in a way. Now on days people are dependent of this technology, people need it to live. 
  • And thinking this technology abuse is addictive, people like teenagers, cant be away of their phones, their computers, even their video games. How can this even kill people? 
  • I agree as a personal thinking that it is addictive, I cant do homework with out my Facebook open, my twitter, or my phone beside me. Its just a desperate need we all have to be connected every second of the day. 
  • But the fact is that this technology offers so much, you can do whatever with the internet, watch movies, play games, chat, research, everything has to do with technology. So with something that offers everything needed obviously will end up as an addiction or a need for everyone.
  • In the example of this kid who went to a camp for teenager addicted to their computers, he didnt concentrate in fighting his addiction the whole 2 weeks he was thinking in when he would go back home to play more games. 
  • how can it be possible that in Korean schools kids are being thought how to go online at the same time they are thought to read,abuse of technology is crazy, out of control 
  • The fact of using the technology is shrinking the mind.

I learned about different video editing software, and all of the feature. I learned to which video editing software is better and why. I also discovered about hidden features and powers on IMovie. I read a lot of reviews about different software in different companies such as Apple, Microsoft, Adobe etc. This reviews showed the differences between each of the programs for the different companies, the pros and cons of each of them. You can read what that program offers and what could be useful for your work. Then I learned how video editing helps my work, useful skills and tricks to create a great video.

Google 20%

Me and my partner Isabel Botero, would like to lear how to video edit. I would like to learn how to control sounds and special effects. To learn how to control scenes in a video. How to create a good video with good sound effect that are perfectly clear. To take parts of videos with copyright. Also how to use IMovie. Mostly to unbderstand movies effects and sounds.

We would like to present two videos, comparing before and after. Also to show in the videos what we knew before the resaerch and what we learned after. We will like to show two videos practically the same but showing different effects and different sounds.
